Hi 5th Graders! Thanks for checking out our website. As I mentioned before, I want to tell you a little bit about myself. This is my 5th year teaching 5th grade at Lynnwood-which I think makes it our lucky year!
I grew up locally and have lived in this area for my whole life. I went to Siena College for my undergraduate, and The College of Saint Rose for my graduate studies. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, even when I was very young, so when I got a job at Lynnwood, I knew I was the luckiest person in the world! I have been teaching the 5th grade for 4 years, and before I came to Lynnwood, I taught 4th grade for 3 years.
I had a very busy summer and spent lots of time with my family. I have a stepdaughter named Avery who is 8 years old and going into the 3rd grade. She spends time at both our house and her mom's house. I also have a son named Adam who turned 2 on the 4th of July. My youngest child's name is Lilah Rose, and she is 9 months old. She is just starting to crawl and trying to walk. This summer, we spent time at the beach, went to the library, watched movies, went on bike rides, and of course read a LOT of books!
I am looking forward to an exciting and educational year. We will be studying many interesting topics, including the Systems of the Body, United States History, Countries of the Western Hemisphere, fractions, and Geometry. We will also be reading some awesome books, and will be going on some very exciting field trips.
5th grade is such a special year, and I can't wait to share it all with you!
